Books!

Aaah hello new followers! (✿╹◡╹) Thank you for following my art! Oh man I didn’t expect to get so many new people from posting those books you have no idea how happy I am.

So anyway I plan on making a bunch of notebooks/sketchbooks for sale on my storenvy! But I figured I would see if there are any sizes that people prefer. I tend to like 8x6 myself, but if there are any sizes (or maybe bindings) that people want to see let me know!

Photos of the Vasilisa book finally! Taking pictures of this was really hard. Also I still have a blister on my finger from cutting all of these pages, and I finished like 2 weeks ago. But it turned out great  so whatever. :>

This is the guessing game book series that I made for my final last year in bookmaking. Each book has 20 silhouettes of animals and they’re separated by the type of environment they live in (mostly). The game is to see how many you can guess! Clamshell box holds everything together

Aah I used super sculpy over an armature, then I painted it with acylic. The rest is paper and toothpicks with some twine haha Next time I want to make a puppet instead and sew the clothes instead of trying to mold them. :x

Sculpture isn’t really my thing, but I did this for the 3d portion of my portfolio so it doesn’t only have books. >_> It didn’t really come out the way I’d hoped but since I don’t have much experience with the medium I’m not surprised haha Maybe I will try something like this again at some point for fun instead of because I HAVE to.

Hey remember that painting I mentioned? Finally scanned it. Man I wish I could’ve done this digitally it would have taken half the time and worked out so much better. u_u

Finally took some decent pictures of that book from forever ago. >_> In hindsight I def should have ironed that sheet first.

Some work doodles on a slow night. I used  the back of sales flyer. >_> it kinda shows through.

Finally hooked up and dusted off the scanner! Here are a couple old spreads. I didn’t want to put everything in one post so I queued a couple up instead.

I’m still alive! I just need to reinstall my scanner and I have no idea where the software is. I’ve also been working on a traditional painting for my portfolio. :D I plan on applying to a teaching certification program and for that I need a variety of 2D and 3D stuff. Since most of my stuff is digital I need to make new stuff. :x Also 3D! yikes! haha I haven’t done 3d in YEARS.

But anyway I am still around. I’ll eventually get my scanner working. >_> and once the painting is finished I’ll post that too. In the meantime, new for those not following on twitter, here are some bad phone photos of some of the stuff I’ve been doing.

Finally moved all the crap off my scanner and scanned some things. >_>

So I waited awhile but I suppose I am simply not going to hear back from the other artists. >_> Maybe there is something wrong with my email…

But here is some work from the artists who were working on the calender with me! (as well as my piece again) Some of it is WIP but give everyone a look!

So a handful of artists and I were working on a calender project that sadly didn’t get finished due to life getting in the way.  I was waiting to post this till the project was completed and since yesterday is the last day here is my contribution!

Hopefully I will be able to post something soon with all the other artists who were involved and whatever they got done. :D
